Tipus palace:
The construction of the fort started during the reign of Hyder Ali and was completed in 1791, during the rule of Tipu Sultan. Among the several unique aspects of the two-storeyed palace are its huge wooden pillars, glorifying brackets and its all- around idyllic and placid setting. After the death of Tipu Sultan, the British used the monument for its Secretariat until about 1868, before moving to Attara Kacheri. Blessed with lush green gardens, flowering shrubs and sparkling fountains, the palace is an attractive tourist site and a slice of solitude in the heart of the city. Lately, a small part of the fort has also been converted into a museum showcasing various events of the life and times of Tipu Sultan. Once tourists enter the fort, they are bound to feel like they have entered a different place and a different era altogether. The palace has a serene vibe that will make one feel at peace the moment they walk in.
ISKCON Temple :
Located in the Rajajinagar area, ISKCON Temple is a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple, under the guidance of Madhu Pandit Dasa, was inaugurated in the year 1997 by Shankar Dayal Sharma. Apart from a religious shrine, ISKCON temple is a cultural complex accommodating dedicated deities of Sri Radha Krishnachandra, Sri Krishna Balarama, Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga, Sri Srinivasa Govinda and Sri Prahlada Narasimha.
ISKCON Temple is known for its activities of engagement involving ardent devotees of Lord Krishna. The temple enrols members for life and arranges programs in their community centres for Krishna consciousness and awareness of the Lord. The temple community also organises songs and recitals admiring and praying to Krishna in public processions. Lectures and prayer services are regularly conducted here as well.

Ooty Lake:
Ooty Lake is one of the most refreshing and beautiful places to visit in Ooty. It lies at a distance of approximately 2 km from Ooty city in the green hills of the Nilgiris district. The stunning lake is spread over an area of 65 acres, and its foundation was laid down by John Sullivan who was the collector of Coimbatore in 1824.
Ooty Lake is surrounded by Eucalyptus trees and greenery all around and is a great place to experience the beauty of this hill station. One can also spot numerous streams coming out through the hills. This is a perfect place to capture people who are genuinely interested in photography. The lake is filled with beautiful water birds with the exotic Nilgiri mountain ranges in the background.
Rose Garden:
Ooty Rose Garden is a mesmerizing garden in the heart of the town of Ooty, in Tamil Nadu. It is also known as the Jayalalithaa Rose Garden, the Nootrandu Roja Poonga and the Centenary Rose Park. Nature lovers are drawn to the Rose Garden like bees to honey. The view of the lush green garden with areas dedicated to captivatingly fragrant roses is a sight to remember. The flowers add more than just colour and attract visitors from all age groups, especially those who are interested in the study of Botany. You are bound to feel like you have entered a different world as you stroll leisurely across the beautifully landscaped garden.

The Sim's Park:
An excellent and delightful treasure trove of some of the most exquisite plant species in the world, the Sim's Park is an outstanding sightseeing destination in Coonoor that boasts of being home to over one thousand different species of flora. All of these different plants and trees are scattered all across the park, and a walk through the lush greenery and colourful, vibrant flowers provides refreshment, inner peace and tranquillity, not to forget the unique and beautiful views.
The Sim's Park is located in Coonoor in the Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu, on the northern side of the Coonoor Railway Station, and its easy accessibility is just one of the many features of this breathtaking beauty. The park is spread over an area of 12 hectares, and is divided into different sections, with the one with the Sholas and the widening footpaths being the most loved and cherished one.
Dolphin's Nose :
Located about 12 km away from Coonoor is the Dolphin's Nose about 1,500 meters above sea level. The tip of the peak of this enormous rock resembles a dolphin's nose and this is one of the most visited tourist spots in The Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu.
It is set amidst the rolling hills of the Nilgiris Hills (or the Blue Mountains). The gigantic rock formation is entirely unprecedented. There are enormous canyons found on both the sides of the destination and there is a clear view of the Catherine Falls, another popular tourist destination with its ongoing current several thousand meters below, which is located at a short distance from the Dolphin's Nose.

It is one of the best waterfalls in the Coorg region.Height of Abbey Falls Numerous small streams and abundant rainfall combine to form the Abbey Waterfalls. It cascades down the rocky slopes from a height of about 70 feet into a pool. This waterfall flows to unite with the River Cauvery.
Bhagamandala :
At a distance of 9 km from Talacauvery and 36 km from Madikeri, Bhagamandala is a sacred place situated in the Coorg district of Karnataka. Also known as Bhagundeshwara Kshetra, it is one of the famous pilgrimage sites in Karnataka and also one of the top places to experince Coorg Tourism.
Bhagamandala is situated at the confluence of two rivers, the Cauvery and the Kannike. A third river, the Sujyothi is said to join from underground. It is well known as Triveni Sangama and also considered as Dakshina Kashi. It is a common practice for pilgrims to take a dip in the sangama and perform rituals to their ancestors before proceeding to Talacauvery, the birthplace of Kaveri River. During 1785-1790, the area was occupied by Tipu Sultan and he renamed it Afesalabad. Then in 1790 King Dodda Veerarajendra took Bhagamandala back into an independent Kodagu.

Mysore Palace:
An incredibly breathtaking example of Indo - Saracenic style of architecture, the Mysore Palace is a magnificent edifice located in Mysore in the state of Karnataka. Also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, it is the former palace of the royal family of Mysore and is still their official residence. Mysore Palace was built in the year 1912 for the 24th Ruler of the Wodeyar Dynasty and is counted amongst one of the biggest palaces in the country.
The construction of the Mysore Palace was orchestrated by the Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV referred as "Rajarishi" (saintly king) by Mahatma Gandhi. It was then further expanded by his son and the last Maharaja of Mysore, Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar. The facade of the palace is a harmonious blend of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput and Gothic styles which imparts it a regal quality.
St. Philomena's Church:
Recognized as the second tallest church of Asia, St. Philomena's Church was constructed to pay tribute to the Catholic Saint and martyr of Roman Catholic Church, Saint Philomena. It is one of the most important historical sites in Mysore and is frequently visited by tourists from all over the country. Being one of the most distinctive landmarks of the city, it looks even more beautiful in the evening sky and is given religious importance having a Neo-Gothic style of architecture which makes it all the more famous amongst masses.
The foundation for the church was laid in the year 1933 by the then king of Mysore, Sri Krishnarajendra Wodeyar Bahadur IV for the European residents in the city. After the construction went on for about eight years, the church started functioning in the year 1941. The remains of Saint Philomena have been preserved here and are present even today.

Banasura Sagar Dam :
At a distance of 21 km from Mananthavady, 22 km from Kalpetta, and 46 km from Sulthan Bathery, Banasura Sagar Dam is an earthen dam situated in the Wayanad district of Kerala. The dam was built across the Karamanathodu River, a tributary of River Kabini, and is one of the most popular Wayanad tourist places.
Ideally placed in the foothills of Banasura hills, it is the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia. The dam got its name from Banasura, the son of King Mahabali, the famous ruler of Kerala. It is said that Banasura undertook severe penance on the top of the hills. Banasura hill is the third-largest peak in the Western Ghats.History of Banasura Sagar Dam The dam was built in 1979 under the Indian Banasura Sagar Project which was started to support the Kakkayam Hydro Electric Power Project.
Meenmutty Waterfalls :
At a distance of 5 km from Banasura Sagar Dam, 25 km from Kalpetta & 48 km from Sulthan Bathery, Meenmutty Waterfalls is a magnificent waterfall located near Banasura Sagar Dam in the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is one of the best waterfalls near Bangalore and among the prominent Wayanad tourist places to visit. Height of Meenmutty Waterfall Cascading down through multiple tiers from a height of 984 feet, it is the second-highest waterfall in Kerala and is situated inside a thick forest flowing through a rocky platform. The falls has three tiers with varying height. The first tier can be reached by walking for about 500 m from the parking area / main entrance of the falls. This layer is smaller and has a low-depth pool that is ideal for swimming.
